It seems a little weird to leave Hintz off the team when his jr. Stats were so much better than all but a few players on that list. He was hurt for a while, is there any chance that he wasn't fully recovered and that's why he was left off?

Injury could be the reason or that Pitkänen and Repo simply played better than him in JYP Akatemia games and beat him for top9 spot. He is not better than Lämsä or Mäkinen in 4th line center role.

I'm going to the U18 WHC next week in Lapeenranta. Has anyone out there been there before and maybe have advice about things to do or see, places to eat, etc? Thanks in advance.

Well, I'm not a local but been there quite a few times. It's a compact little city, where most restaurants and pubs are within a walking distance, especially along the main walking street. There's also an old fortress area with a couple of museums, which could be interesting if you're into historic stuff.

There are a few old steamboats along the harbor, which turn into restaurants and bars during the summer, not sure if they're open yet. Prinsessa Armaada is especially nice. The Kasino restaurant at the harbor front is good as well.

Thanks for the info!

Also note that the arena where the games are played is about 1-1.5 kilometres outside the centre. Marked it with red oval.

4-0 victory over Slovakia. Voutilainen played first 2 periods and Kähkönen played in the 3rd period. Kalapudas 2, Honkanen and Repo scored our goals.

And our final roster should be released later today.

This just says that that's the roster for tomorrow, so could be that Saarela or some other forward is added later as roster limit is 23 (current roster size 21).

Which is why I said "apparently".

Here's more on it. If the candid wording is to go by, he indeed appears to be out of the lineup, but not the team altogether. No illness or injury though, so wonder what's the reason.
