Well Canada s**t the bed today losing 3-2 in O/T. Especially being up 2-0 most of the game.

What an embarrassment that was.

But not to take anything away from the Swiss who played awesome!

In round robin I don't mind a loss like this.

The Swiss fans will have a Hell of an evening partying it up after a big W and Team Canada gets a dose of reality before the round robin is over.

Well, Canada beat the Finns today 5-2, and play Germany Thursday in the Quarterfinals.

Then the fun starts......

Yeah, sucks that the Sens game will finally be on at a time I can watch and I'll have to miss the final because of it, but I'll be focused on the Sens and only switching over periodically to check the action

That was the goaltending equivalent of Bambi vs. Godzilla - our odds of winning that shootout were slim to none.

Still, the fact that Canada rode Pickard and Chad Johnson to the Gold medal game shows you that "elite" goaltending can be overrated. As long as your team plays a solid, structured game, you can get by just fine with a goalie who is just pretty good. Look at the Sens, winning a bunch of games this year in front of a replacement level goalie in Condon...
