Worst Case, Ontario
Some great options there. A couple RHD with lots of potential (Barron and Grans) that would be tough to pass up. A pure scorer who has apparently made big improvements to his questionable skating (Foerster).

Between Barron and grans, I feel Barron is more likely to be there at 36

went with grans

For me this is between Bourque, Colangelo and Foerster. Foerster I'm really torn on but by all reports he's putting a ton of work into his skating and his offensive upside is pretty huge. Gives us a triggerman for Zegras and in this scenario, Rossi. Think I have to go with him for now.

Unless we can make picks that aren't on your board, in which case I pick Tristen Robins.

With Reichel, Greig, Gunler, and Peterka all gone, the run on defensemen are here as they're probably BPA amongst the next tier of forwards. Anaheim has three types of defensemen to choose from: an all around safe pick with speed (Barron), a high-end offensive minded defensemen who will need to learn to play defense better (Grans) and a bit of a gamble, or a taller defender who skates well and possesses a lot of potential with a lot of development on the offensive and defensive side needed, which is the biggest gamble (Walliner), imo.

I went with Grans, who could end up being a Theodore version 2.0. Grans could be the Ducks PP1 QB in the far future. Similar to Theodore, the Ducks can take their time to let Grans develop his defensive game. Grans fits in well with the Ducks' defensive pairing program of offensive with defensive d-man blue line. Anaheim can find defensive d-men often, but offensive d-men are short in stock in the system. Guhle, Mahura, and LaCombe are in the system. While Mahura did put up respectable numbers in the AHL, Guhle is better in the AHL - just not at the NHL level. LaCombe is going into his second season in the NCAA. The Ducks could use more depth in this area.

Just don't expect Grans to be in the NHL in a year or two as he'll need to improve his defense much more just like Theodore. Also, the Ducks' scouting staff did watch one of Grans' games in person across the pond.
