He got time in the top six if you ever watched his games here, his problem isn't talent, its the fact that his defensive play is poor away from the puck and he gets his ass beat in the corners. He is a softer, more scared version of Marchessault. He is a great addition for the crunch. I was hoping he'd have a moment where it all came together and he could sort out what he does away from the puck but it just doesn't look like anything has changed.I don't care about the "rest of the team". Nobody is a superstar on that line-up. RHP played on the 1st line and scored at ridiculous and unsustainable conversion rate. He does not have Barre-Boulet offensive talent.
A contending team played him on a 4th line. Never got top 6-9 time (understandable, Tampa is just too stacked).
If a rebuilding team gives him time with talented offensive players and a bit of PP, he could explode like a MSL.
