he's making more than ribeiro

reigjireifrjef absolutely unbelievable

what an atrocious signing.

Ribeiro's a liabily / salary should be deducted from the cap. So glad they didn't sign him. Glass i NHL 7th? in hits, has some leadership abilities and can be tough. Can't be that bad?

all this noise about the 12th forward is kinda funny

veterans who played a full year last year get better money than the guys with red flags, thats how the signings go, you see it all the time

injuries happen, and we'll need depth -
NYR've been relatively lucky the last couple years, regarding games missed due to injury, compared to say Detroit and Pitt last year, and Phila the last few.

This isn't a video game, and if we've got 6 or 7 or more of the top 18 skaters out at once, all the depth guys and prospects are needed to keep the team going

You have to be able to fill a role to serve as depth. The only role that suits Glass is sitting in the press box. He's not a capable NHL player. Signing him was literally flushing $1.4 million in cap space down the toilet for three seasons.

You forgot to ignore it again!

Seems like half the posts in this thread are from people complaining about how many posts are in this thread.

You mean sane people?

You still didn't answer the question.

I was thinking about this earlier today:

The Rangers have signed the following tough players who played for Pittsburgh:

Rupp - Traded for Powe - okay signing
Asham - Not a good signing
Glass - TBD

Not the best track record for guys coming from Pitt

You could extend that for any tough players.

Rupp was pretty much good only for the Winter Classic and beating the **** out of Kopecky. I thought he was pretty bad beyond that. Good locker room guy I guess.

Asham disappointed me but I didn't think he was THAT bad. Big game 7 goal against Washington last season at least.

UFA's or trades?

Outside of Prust I am having a hard time finding much of anything. Maybe Shelley in his short stint here? Orr worked out pretty well after they grabbed him from Boston for what he was.
UFAs.

Brashear and Boogaard were given ridiculous contracts.
