That crazy moment when you've acquired the Sedins, Datsyuk, Kessel, Kronwall, Perry, Hjalmarsson, Petry, Plekanec, and Hansen and you're still nearly 10M under the cap with players to waive still. Oh wait, I'm Nashville and I started with one top six forward.

Seriously though, the reason as always? Cap retains. Did some very quick math in my head and I'd have nearly 25M extra in cap if not for cap retains crazy how much that has changed these games.
