This standard brings even more questions. If the Crunch are going to require proof of vaccine, is this going to be for EVERY home game? If not, how are they going to monitor it without exposing the vaccine history to a potential HIPA violation? The local folks are pretty split on this, with some refusing the rule and cancelling season tickets while others are applauding it.
Since the Crunch are a business and the owner of that business can make whatever decisions he/she wants, this is Dolgon's call and he has made it perfectly clear where he stands.

That's not how HIPAA is spelled, and not how HIPAA works.

Goal for Roman Schmidt in his first OHL preseason game

McDonnell also had an assist and had an 'A' on his jersey

Portland (Dureau) and Spokane (Finley) also had their first preseason games tonight, but both players were held out. Huuhtanen is in the lineup for Everett

Moncton and Saint John (Cam MacDonald) were suppose to play a preseason game tonight at the University of New Brunswick but the game was canceled due to an incident on campus.

Saint John has another game at UNB's Aitken Centre September 18th against Acadie–Bathurst, but Cam MacDonald will report to Tampa before then.

Hearing really good things about Schmidt. I'm going to try to go to a game next month, really excited to watch him play this season. Looks like he'll be on a stacked blue line as well.

Assist for Pylenkov from the point

Pylenkov has played in all 7 games for SKA to start the season. Groshev has only played in 1.

The Rangers have another strong point in returning winger Declan McDonnell, who had the opportunity to play with the Syracuse Crunch last season. McKenzie expects the Tampa Bay Lightning prospect to be one of the team’s go-to guys and describes him a guy that “sticks out” and sets the tone in terms of work ethic and playing the right way.
The Rangers were excited to get Roman Schmidt from the U.S. Development program and expect big things out of the 18-year-old defender. They’ll look to the fellow Tampa Bay Lightning prospect to be a huge impact player on their back end, especially in the absence of Donovan Sebrango should he remain within the Detroit Red Wings organization.

Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Jack Thompson is a premier player and the class of the League as far as defencemen are concerned. He’s described as Duncancon as a “tireless worker” who showed up to training camp in phenomenal shape. Should he return to the Wolves’ blueline from the Lightning’s training camp, he’ll be leaned upon to lead their squad from the back end.

After finally getting into the lineup 2 days ago for an amazing 2 minutes and 32 seconds, Groshev was back in the press box for SKA's win today. He's only played 2 of the 12 games so far for SKA this season. Pylenkov on the other hand has played every game and his ice time has increased to 20+ minutes the past 3 games.

I really wish there was a way to get Groshev out of there

Really the only thing we can do is hopefully another KHL team think that he would be a good addition for them and trade for him then give him more ice time. You would think that at least one struggling KHL team would roll the dice on it.

Hey guys and gals! Who would you rank as your top 5-ish prospects? Going to a few pre-season games and curious to know who to look out for and curious to know who the guys are overseas I should be paying attention to as well. Thanks!

They traded for him last year. They wanted him. Same with NJ draft pick Zakhar Bardakov who was up for rookie of the year last season. They acquired him in the offseason and he's also only played 2 games this season. The game he played on the 27th with Groshev he played 4:23. Why even dress him or Groshev? Why not send them down a level just to get ice time?

Super prospect and 16 year old Matvei Michkov has been getting into games but has only averaged 6:20 in his last 5 games. Call me crazy, but this just doesn't seem like a good way to develop players who are 19, 20, and 16 years old.

If you're watching preseason games, look for Simon Ryfors, Alex Barre-Boulet, Taylor Raddysh, and Boris Katchouk. The 4 of them are competing to make the Lightning.

We don't really have too many prospects playing across the pond. Daniil Pylenkov and Maxim Groshev are the biggest 2 who both play for St. Petersburg in the KHL

So I don't have Barre-Boulet as a prospect anymore because he's 24 and played more games for the Lightning than the Crunch last year even though he's Calder eligible. Our prospect pool is pretty weak, there's no high end talent in the group but a few of high floor guys who could make the league.

1. Katchouk - most well rounded player we have, can play in all situations and all 3 forward positions if needed. Has enough offensive skill to play in the top 6 but most likely is more middle 6 guy. A Killorn type who won't wow you at all but will be a consistent producer.

2. Goncalves- really like his potential especially offensively, can be the one player who makes the top 6. Didn't break out till his overage year but that hasn't stopped any of our guys from becoming legit players. With our lack of good C's in the system he can quickly make his way through the system and into the league sooner. Need to see more of him in the pro game to have a comparison.

3. Raddysh- has the size and skill to be an impact player but lacks the consistency to have reached that potential yet and may never do. Skating has improved as well as his all around game to where he can still be a middle or bottom 6 player who flashes his skills a lot. A potential Panik type who may not make it here but will find success on other teams around the league.

4. Thompson- smooth skater two way defender. Only 6' so not our typical sized defenseman we've been deploying. Not overly physical but uses the body when needed but has good puck skills to retain the puck and alleviate danger. Good offensive skills but nothing that stands out so won't be asked to carry that load. Should become a better Ben Thomas. Reliable guy at both ends, nothing that stands out but nothing to really hold him back. With the lack of RD I the system and being better at this age he should move up the system quickly and could be getting a look in 3 seasons.

5. Finley- has the size and skating to be at worst a 4C, so he gets the slot due to the high floor. Not physical for his size but uses his size well to impact the game. Has soft hands and puck skills for a big guy. Would like to see him work on his play in his own zone and on the dot. Could become a specialist given his size if he can excel in those areas. Not sure who he compares to because we haven't had a forward that big in awhile. Also want to see how he does coming off his injury last season.

Dylan Duke got an assist in his 1st exhibition game for Michigan, a 7-1 win over Bowling Green.

I may have jinxed Pylenkov because after playing 22+, 20+, and 24+ minutes in his last 3 games, he played only 2:46 on Sunday. (and of course Groshev sat again against his former club). Some mind games they're playing over there.
