The Good:
Leafs forecheck and the forwards as a whole

The bad:
Matthews line defensively
Gardiner-Zaitsev
Muzzin

Didn't even know Paajarvi was still in the NHL, he sure looked decent against us.

Got the W but yikes ... better get a good practice or 2 in before Saturday. Should be a good game.

I know he scored a goal and someone in this forum will kindly explain to me that I don't understand hockey and I must have NOT watched the game, but I thought Matthews' play was weak / invisible.

He was alright, made some good plays. He's clearly just playing on his own basically, doesn't use his linemates much and needs new ones because there are some chemistry issues.

Dubas needs to take Brown and Marleau away from Babcock somehow and re-tool that left side.

Worst defensive player by a mile tonight.

Welp. She was no defensive gem but the result is all that matters after this one. Clean it up for Saturday against the Habs.

On another note - I think it's time for Babs to put Nylander and Matthews back together again. I keep hearing Nylander is "almost there". He's there already. It's time.
