Manitoba and Winnipeg have a large Icelandic population. Winnipeg Falcons who won the 1920 Olympic gold for Canada were almost exclusively Icelandic. Frank Frederickson is the most famous Icelandic-Canadian player. Also two time Stanley Cup champion Carol ”Cully” Wilson was Icelandic (born Karl Erlendson).

Yet most Icelandic people probably can't even point to Manitoba on a map it's sad unfortunately.

I mean, Swedes often cheer for whatever team has the most Swedes on them. Like if Tampa made the final, I'd imagine lots of Swedes would want Tampa because of Hedman and Stralman.
