It will take more than a PK subban to get this sport in the mainstream with the black community.

Hell, the sport is not mainstream even with the white community in the US.

The biggest obstacle that the NHL faces in terms of growing their product is the sheer cost to play the sport relative to the other sports.

Whoever is not well off is not going to invest in hockey, and unfortunately, the black community faces many challenges especially in the US.

Without widespread affluence, getting interest in this sport is going go be extremely difficult, PK or no PK.

thats true depends on the budget. could cost 200$ for all the equipment and thats the cheapest stuff . Then you have to pay for the league which is 100$ and above. Lets not forget that kids grow so you'll have to buy them all new equipment for years so it gets expensive.
