Flyers general manager Ron Hextall gave the following injury update on goaltender Steve Mason

"Steve Mason broke his right pinky finger playing hockey in Oakville, Ontario on Sunday, July 27. Mason will miss approximately two (2) weeks of on-ice training but will continue with his off-ice training."

At least it's hockey related?

It always amazes me how professional athletes in incredible physical shape manage to hurt themselves in the weirdest ways. I'm barely in shape, I golf twice a week, I play deck hockey occasionally, and I've never broken any bones or torn any tendons doing either. But professional athletes seem to find a way to do it more frequently than expected.
