He's been shelled in every level he's ever played. Remember the scouting reports when we drafted him? Played for one of the worst high school teams in his state and had the most saves in the state at his level. Harvard was pretty rough for a while there too.

So he would be right at home on the Oilers then? I'm sure we can work out a deal around McDavid

I considered Gustafsson a better prospect than Michalek, and we saw him get torched.

Unlucky for Gus, because I think Iowa will be better next year. Michalek will be the beneficiary, not to take anything from the kid.

Hope he works out.

Didn't watch Gustafsson in Iowa but I do recall how shaky he looked on the NA ice in the WJCs, perhaps he never really adjusted.

Surprised the NCAA didn't grant Michalek another year of eligibility. Then again I was surprised when he got suspended. Don't know what our plan is but I hope he sees significant playing time, whether thats the ECHL or AHL.
