i'm sure the ducks aren't exactly crying about the Lupul + gardiner deal anymore. Leafs haven't had Lupul all year or gardiner.. they've played a combined 5 games for the leafs.. Meanwhile the Ducks hold the 2nd best record in all of the NHL and could even challenge catching chicago!

Francois Beauchmin has been a work horse for them.. It's too bad we didn't have him still to be partnered with Dion Phaneuf.. that's the type of Dman that we could use right about now.

Either way we still got the better of the deal. but it still hasn't worked out terrible for the ducks like some seem to think.

More to the point.. We won't miss Steckle

Very well said, we got the better end, but beauchemin would be great right about now, and has really stabilized the Anaheim roster again, the wheels all but fell off before he returned.

And yes, we will not miss steckel, in the least.

Steckels pretty useless now that he cant take draws anymore. A hand/wrist injury for a guy whos only redeeming quality as an NHL player was winning faceoffs is pretty scary.

The idea that Kessel is going to be traded is ridiculous. He's likely going to be staying for a long time, because he is hard to replace. Any big trades would involve other plays such as Komi, Liles, for someone who is on the slump and/or on a huge contract.

I don't think so. Lasch has some potential but I don't see him helping your team in the near future as Steckel can be used now and then for the Ducks.
