I'm sure an nba forum site doesn't have posters sweating over if should be NBA Finals or Final.

The fact that the NBA calls it the Finals and is played simultaneously as our league's "Final" doesn't help.

People get used to the word finals. Hell even in high school and college we call final exams "finals".

Well that makes sense, since you are taking multiple exams.

Problem arose when the original title was printed as Stanley Cup Finalseries, but then the last part got cut off to Finals.
