Their passing game is on point. It may just be a function of their confidence but it's likely also Reirden's influence. Lots of zip and awareness. Seems like a smarter team and not necessarily as grind-y.
We have played one period in the season. It was a good period but its too early to say we are a smarter team. There is plenty of time for us to start playing stupid hockey.

Damn high level of performance for an opening game. The passes seem to have... purposes, i.e. not robotic, but trying to find a play and move the puck quickly.

Bruins are providing good opposition after the initial shock. They are closing time & space down pretty well.

Connolly's definitely no Wilson, but seems an ok band-aid on 1st. Bottom 6 has had some nice shifts.

Bowey is doing alright so far, no?
