No? It was emotional set up for the circumstances of the start of the third movie along with payoff for Gwen's arc. If anything I'd argue that they didn't balance Gwen's arc against Miles' through the middle of the film and the fact that Gwen had an arc didn't really come to the forefront until her resolution with her father. But I think for what they had to set up it was good they took their time with it.Does no one else think it was absurd how long they stretched that ending out???
That entire sequence after Miles escapes could have been like 5-8 minutes instead of 25. It was obviously heading for some kind of cliffhanger the entire time.

Depends how they do it, no? I don't mind either way but I can't say it would bother me.Great movie...didn't hit the emotional highs of the first for me with the whole pretty much suicidal Peter Parker but I can't really rate it below either.
This pretty much the definitive version or Miles.
I know I'm probably in a fringe minority here and it will obviously happen but am I the only one that hopes Miles and Gwen don't get together? It was just bad in the comics.
Yeah that was a bummer to find out..I'm okay waiting longer for the third installment if they treat their artists better.Damning Across The Spider-Verse Report Reveals 100 Artists Quit Amid Brutal Working Conditions

I saw this on a flight yesterday.
I’ve watched everything in the MCU (movies and shows), all previous Spider-Man installments, almost all of the X-Men movies.
I don’t say this lightly, but this might actually be the best superhero movie ever. Like ever.
As stated upthread, it’s a special movie. So much of it transcends the usual quality of writing and animation for any movie, let alone the hero genre. Throw in a great soundtrack, great casting/voice acting. It hits really hard for both teen and adult audiences (watching is as a current parent of teens… man, it hits hard).
This is a 10/10 and a better movie than anything in the MCU including Infinity War. I’d take it over The Dark Knight. Shocked that there are only 2 pages of comments on it.
