Wouldn't putting him on wing make more sense. Let him play in the top 9 but as a winger with less defensive responsibility. He can still play and has great playmaking ability still.
Maybe Heatley and Alfredsson will un-retire and they can all win a cup together.
3rd line C on the Oilers with power play time.
They came close but couldn’t seal the deal, but let’s not forget that was the best line in hockey for a good 2-3 year span. No shame in never hoisting a cup if you can hold those bragging rights.
Don't toy with me!Maybe Heatley and Alfredsson will un-retire and they can all win a cup together.

Let’s be honest, with his current speed he doesn’t need to fall down to take himself out of the play there.Far worse are this offensive zone turnovers where he turns the puck over on an unneccsarily risky play his linemates can't handle because he now plays with 4th liners for a breakaway or 2/3 on 1 while at the same time taking himself out of the play by falling down.
Toronto will be in on Spezza and Acciari for the 4th line center position if there is cap room available imo.
Surprised to hear he's already been told by Dallas that they're letting him walk. Been a rough stretch for him, though, these past two seasons.
