The Blue Jackets have two quality offers in from Western Conference teams and one offer from an Eastern Conference team on Rick Nash. I would like to pull the trigger on a deal later tonight if possible. If you're wanting in, forward your offer to me by PM.

:bolts approve this deal. We are thrilled and excited to acquire Mike from Toronto. We feel that he is exaclty what we needed going forward to help shore up our defense.

We like to thank the Leafs for their professionalism and easy transaction.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have completed a major trade with division rival Nashville. The Jackets have traded Captain Rick Nash, former Calder Trophy winner Steve Mason and pugilist Jared Boll to the Predators in exchange for Ryan Ellis, Patric Hornqvist, Anders Lindback, Roman Josi, Matt Read and the Preds 2013 1st Round draft pick.

"While it was difficult to trade away the face of our franchise, Rick Nash made it known that he wanted out of Columbus and Nashville stepped up with the best offer to make our club better over the long term with several significant pieces," commented CBJ GM Kev22. "In the long run, this deal will help to make this team a younger, more competitive team that hopefully will become a perennial playoff contender and eventual Cup contender."
