These fan edits don't look stupid at all.

In a vaccuum both of them look stupid, its just that the fan edit brings out the nostalgia in us of '80s vintage.

Some things just arent meant to be live action, Sonic is one of them

But it still looks like a pretty formulaic and probably crappy movie.

That is a much improved trailer and hats off for listening to feedback and putting in the effort to make it what the fans want.

This was probably something I was going to wait for tv or streaming to watch, but I'll consider a movie ticket just for how to handled the initial reaction. Too many others would've doubled down on the original trailer and proceeded with the movie.

It's very rare production companies admit they messed up, so kudos to Sony for fixing their mistake. I'm actually somewhat excited for this now.

This gives me hope that the producers of Star Trek Discovery will realize their huge mistake and re-do Seasons 1 and 2. Michael Burnham can't be any less a disgrace to the franchise than that original Sonic was.

Stay for the post-credits scene. I don't even care that Youtube spoiled it for me (not seeing this in a theater anyway), I just found it fun(ny).

It's not for me and I'm not going to see it, but I always enjoy when a movie seems like it's going to be a trainwreck and then it comes out and gets the "You know what, it's really not that bad" treatment. Good for them.
