The Proclaimers album which featured “I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)” was pretty much a tour of Scotland.
“Cap in Hand” is about Scottish Independence, but mentions Stranraer (though it’s actually referring to the football team)
“Then I Met You” talks about meeting a girl in Morningside, Edinburgh
“Sean” is partly about a girl from Tupelo, Mississippi (Okay, technically not in Scotland)
“Sunshine on Leith” is about a girl from Leith. Or possibly Hibernian Football Club. It’s not entirely clear.
“What Do You Do?” is about Scotland and England, in particular it talks about unionists being blind to a somewhat abusive relationship between the countries.
