I just think that if Bean on the power play was something we were even considering, there were 82 games this season to try it. This is not the time.

And another thing I think we underrate as fans (outsiders), this is the team that got here. As bad as our power play has been, as bad as Faulk has been, as bad as we can be at times connecting on passes, this group of 22 (the guys who played last night plus Martinook and van Riemsdyk) are the group that got us where we are. They may not be the best group of 22 players, but they have *earned* the right to go out there and try to fight through this.

Making a major personnel change at this point will not sit well with some.

Yeah, and that seems more economic than anything to me just in how tickets are typically priced. I've never been but a few friends that have have told me that basically tickets for say a Red Star Belgrade game run about what your typical mid major NCAA basketball team would charge. Basically that fans of the game there would never put up with the price gouging that is rampant in North American pro sports.

On the other hand, NA teams are more self-sustained. EU teams are often expensive toy of some insanely rich person.

Ontario Hockey League (OHL) has seen teams come back from being down 0-3.
London Knights were in strong command with a 3-0 lead in games.
They lost the next 4 games against the Guelph Storm.
Knights were winning 3-1 in the 7th game.
They found a way to lose that game.
Guelph is going to the Mem Cup.
Ya just never know.

Reports on Twitter saying Bruins fans vandalized cars and harassed people.

It's weird to hear this became an issue. I thought the fans on both sides were actually pretty low-key last night, given the stakes.

On one side, there was a tension in the Canes crowd that I haven't seen at any of the other playoff games. It felt like people were kind of reading the game, and the first 30 minutes kept the energy pretty low. Not that it wasn't loud at moments, but it wasn't all-out crazy like in the other two series. Brind'amour talked about the players being mentally exhausted... I wonder how many fans are starting to hit a wall as well.

On the other side, I didn't even see regular-season levels of obnoxious from the Bruins contingent. They were just cheering for their team, but it wasn't mean spirited or targeted at other fans. It crossed my mind that the ludicrous ticket prices might keep out some of the folks who show up just to get drunk and start ****. This group was more like serious hockey fans with high-end jerseys, and a lot of them mixed in with Canes fan friends or family members.

The worst I saw was in the plaza after the game, a few morons trying to get through a crowd of Canes fans so they could get do something super clever in the background of the TV broadcast. But even that just came down to a couple of grown men acting like boys, nothing really problematic.

@bigredmachine

I AM BY NO MEANS SUPERSTITIOUS AND THINKING GDTS CHANGE THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME IS RIDICULOUS, BUT I WASN’T EXACTLY LUCKY.

I WILL GLADLY AWAIT YOUR GDT RED.

I am not even joking -- I am 100 percent serious when I say the team did not deserve your GDTs @MrazeksVengeance ! I will walk the path of vengeance proudly in your honor until its bitter end...

BITTER END FOR THEM THAT IS ;)

I was thinking about creating the GDT, but if bigred wants to try their hand, go for it

I'll defer to the vet. Go for it @Blueline Bomber Bomber:)

It's totally unrealistic as there will be no chemistry between Bean and the others on the PP unit. He won't know their preferences or tendencies and the reverse is true too.

The only thing at this point is to make tweaks to the units, maybe move into a pure umbrella configuration with TT at the point and Dougie as the rover in the middle. Winning a damn draw wouldn't hurt either.

Chicks shouldn't do game day threads. Next thing, you'll want control of your own bodies. Where will it end? Equality? Jeez.

There were 2 Boston fans in I want to say 101 that dressed like Hulkamania and Macho Man that were something else all the way down to the skin tight sequins and feather frill... I mean they were all in on their characters, and when you dress like it, I guess you have to sell it. They were excited for their team but nothing bad.

In fact the worst I saw last night were a couple Canes fans a couple rows in front of me who started getting into it with a Bruins fan for just being there and cheering on his team. Nice guy, we got talking to him throughout the game, and he apologized for any of the excitement he actually did show. No reason for the Carolina fans in front of us to start stuff with him, he didn't deserve it. There were a couple guys in the lots who were trying to stir crap up after the game, but everyone was too deflated at that point to really care.

I was there last night. I'm glad my kids got to see a playoff game in person, but yikes. My 9 year old daughter was really into it- she was screaming so savagely the dudes in front of us got a little weirded out, lol.

That's always been our secret weapon: insane little girls. Christ Almighty, the noise they can make!
