Oilers at home vs the best road team in the league tonight, although we have 3 of 4 possible points against them this year, but they do too (thanks loser points :sarcasm:)

Notes:
  • Davidson out (I don't have a source but he ****in has to be right?)
  • Reinhart In (I hope, he was recalled)
  • Do we start Talbot again?
  • Apparently this is the 1000th game of the season
  • There is a chance Klefbom plays today???? According to the nhl.com preview
  • We haven't played the Sharks since acquiring the new big guys so here's hoping that they make a difference.

Bold predictions?

I thought Klefbom was still weeks away...

To be fair they didn't have any quotes regarding that, just something like "they hope to have him in Tuesday"

But I guess he is taking regular practices in a contact jersey so... maybe? :dunno:

Back to back - they get back to back opponents. If that makes any sense.

Hopefully they actually take advantage.

Kudos to the Oil - with nothing yet again on the line at this point in the season apart from pride and "playing for next year", I've found this squad more than bearable since and including the losses in Cali. More grit, better systems application, more caring. Of course, coincidental to all this has also been more Talbot, the most key reason for the goals against being so low of late.

But I'm watching with more intrigue than disdain of late. I say we squeak out an o/t 'w' in this one: 3-2.

Not that I disagree with your timeline but he practiced yesterday didn't he?

Well it was just an optional skate with some drills, though he did take part in it to some degree.

With today being a full practice on a game day, we should get a better indicator of where he is in his recovery.

Sekera - Fayne
Nurse - Pardy
Reinhart - Clendening/Nikitin

Gonna need Cambot to stand on his head for this one

I have been really impressed by the way they have been playing the past while. And the Sharks are on the second half of a back to back.

But that defense?

Help us Obi Wan Talbot, you are our only hope.

The Sharks always put up a huge amount of shots against us. Talbot will have to continue his magic run if we stand any chance of winning this game

Feeling a talbot injury tonight.

First star of the week, and all this talk of how he's the only reason we're winning... it's inevitable. :help:

4-3 Sharks - McDavid 2 pts, Eberle -4.

I would love to see Maroon and Kassian as McDavid's wingmen, just for a period or two. Would be fun.

Bleeding Oilers vs Hungry Sharks

There's only 2 ways this game ends.

Talbot goes Scrivens on them and the Oilers pull of a win they have absolutely no business winning.

Or they get blown out.

Either way they'll get their ***** handed to them. 60 mins of keep away.
