There's ways to make it work in the offseason but I doubt it as well.I highly highly doubt it at this point

That's what it would have to be and its a pretty terrible trade for the Sharks, but I'd do it in a second.Campbell, Yamo, Foegele and prospects picks for Karlsson, Reimer and depth forwards
Campbell isn't waiving to go to San Jose. Yamamoto, Foegele, and Ceci for Karlsson is probably the baseline when it comes to cap.Campbell, Yamo, Foegele and prospects picks for Karlsson, Reimer and depth forwards

At this point I'd do that just to get it done. Karlsson doesn't want to be here, we don't want him ruining our draft position, he would be a great offensive replacement for Barrie in EDM.Campbell isn't waiving to go to San Jose. Yamamoto, Foegele, and Ceci for Karlsson is probably the baseline when it comes to cap.

I’d add Borgault, 2024 1st, 2023 2nd and a prospect of your selection for the man and taking all of that trash lolCampbell isn't waiving to go to San Jose. Yamamoto, Foegele, and Ceci for Karlsson is probably the baseline when it comes to cap.
There's no way San Jose isn't on that list.He doesn't have a full NMC. 10-team NTC, I believe.
Sharks would definitely be retaining. Just a matter of how much.Still wouldn't work for the Oilers without retention.
I'd retain too. But it wouldn't be more than 30% if both forwards are coming back. I just want EK goneStill wouldn't work for the Oilers without retention.

Plus even when you list off bottom teams there's a bunch he'd put there before Sj.Hard to say. I could see a player leaving a good weather city off their list even if they’re not competitive.
Before the deadline you mean, probably.I think SJ just missed its window of opportunity to move out Karlsson.
For someone that willingly signed with a Canadian team, I would bet the no-trade list is either tax-based or competition-based. Either of those instances put San Jose among those ten teams most likely.Hard to say. I could see a player leaving a good weather city off their list even if they’re not competitive.
Well maybe it was just better for the offseason. I could see a team about to age out like Pittsburgh finding a wayI think SJ just missed its window of opportunity to move out Karlsson.
It's not about want, it's about the ability to pull it off cap-wiseKind of weird noone wants EK guess rhe gm’s don’t read the karlsson threads on here and know better

It seemed like it was prime time to move EK with the season he’s having. Not sure you’ll ever get the same value now.I think Grier f***ed himself over royally. One injury and they will be stuck with that caphit for the remainder of that contract.
I've noticed that too. They've cleaned the roster up getting rid of fodder. I'm terrible at math, but it looks like they have 2m in cap now. Wouldn't Yam, Foegele, Bouchard + picks & maybe another player for Karlsson + at like 30% + Gregor or something balance out fairly easily? Campbell doesn't even need to be included and I'm not sure what's so complicated about getting a deal like that done.Edmonton can still do this. Where there’s a will, there’s a way, like Grier said lol. Get the Sharks to retain, pull any side deals required for cap reasons, and spare no expense with the remaining picks/prospects. If Holland pulled it off, it would be one of the greatest trade deadlines of all time by a GM. It really isn’t unrealistic either. They can get it done if they want to; there’s still plenty of time left to iron something out. It’s actually more doable from a cap standpoint than it was 24 hours ago.
