Signing an older player with the intent to give him limited playing time is the right move. I see some people concerned about his age but a 37 year old Halak playing 25 games is a lot different than, say, a 40 year old Mike Smith starting all year.

Would have been nice to save a few hundred K but that’s not what the market dictates.

Happy with this, especially is Nemeth can be moved.
