I think Belleville only have 5 healthy defensemen for their game tonight - Burgdoerfer, Murray, Elliott, Falk and Carlisle.

Brannstrom, Goloubef and Lajoie all out injured and Englund/Wolanin in Ottawa.

They called up Jonathan Racine from Brampton.

Chris Stevenson mentioned 2 ECHL'ers with the B-Sens though, so there might be someone else?

Chris Carlisle is an ECHL player as well.

Short bench in Belleville tonight I'd imagine.

Yeah, if I had to put money on it, I'd say they're gonna miss now. Just one more way for this organization to disappoint us in this landmark season of ****.
We have 4 guys injured in Belleville and 2 out in ottawa, teams don't typically have an extra half dozen guys kicking around just in case

Edit. Oops quoted the wrong post, sry, should have been @stempniaksen

Scanned through capfriendly (very) quickly and couldn't find a team with only 14 signed defencemen in the organization. Most teams tend to leave themselves a little bit of wiggle room instead of carrying exactly 7 at each level.

On the list of things to complain about in regards to the Senators it's very low down the list, but it's obviously factored in (even if slightly) to leaving the B-Sens without some important depth in a time where they need it.

Tbay has 15, not a big difference,
Was has 17, one of which is loaned to the SHL and another is in junior, so in the end, no difference in guys available.

It does seem like having just one or two more signed defensemen would and does make a big difference.

That's a fair point. Didn't check TB and certainly didn't take the loans into consideration, just saw a bunch of teams with 16-18 guys and figured 14 was low.

Sure, but guys that could play in the nhl aren't going to be signing deals to get burried in the ECHL, and Capfriendly doesnt show AHL/ECHL deals. 14 should typically be enough if you have some solid ECHL guys.
