The disappointing part of that period is that it could have been much different.

Paajarvi hits a post, an inch to the left and it's a goal.
White misses the open net,
3 on 1 but a bad pass turns it into a break for a goal the other way.

Was that no goal this period too? Half an inch from crossing the line...

We've been sloppy, so I'm not saying we deserve better, the mistakes we make are self inflicted many times, but we're doing some good things too, the chances are there.
Agree
Couple of plays go our way and its a 4-5 to 1 game
Instead the kids crumble under pressure

Only way it makes sense to me is if there's a cash infusion, so either Lebreton deal or a purchase/partnership of the team.

Lebreton deal on it's own seems like it would put more stress on the finances, so I'm thinking this is tied to a potential new partnership/cash infusion.
Like Burke said Lebreton is 48 months away at least so revenue is 6 years away approx

So answer this Anti-Eugenius: if you don't retain a good portion of Stone/Duchene/Ceci/Dzingel, your salary spend drops $20M next year, and you will likely sub in on the cheap.

A raise for Chabot for 2021 will be $5-6M.

You only have 1 top pick (next year) between now and 2021 to spend money on, and on a rookie deal.

Craig Anderson at almost $5M will be done after next season.

So, exactly where will you find talent to get to the cap after the 2020-21 season, given that you're too cheap for free agents and will be loaded with young players on rookie deals? Are you expecting the cap to drop, or will you be acquiring some long term IR players to get near the cap?

With how things are going, Chabot might make 8 or 9 per
