I predict a multi point night for Stütz. Dzingel gets a point, when lined with Jimmy Stu and we look real fast, except for Gudbranson. Poor ole Gudbranson, everyone seems to be piling on lately haha

Is this the blessed day we can take the shackles off Chabot? Playing without Zaitsev would be a so freeing. We might actually see him take off for some rushes tonight.

Dude has already been rushing down the ice a lot recently. He was prominently doing so during our 2 wins against MTL and the 3 games against CGY.

Not really. Chabot spends a lot of his time trying to field groundballs from Zaitsev. He'll get up ice but it doesn't happen nearly as much as it should. Lots of times the other team is changing and Chabot has room but Zaitsev floats one of his passes to him and Chabot has to totally stop or reverse to get the puck. A competent partner will be mean way less pressure on Chabot and more time and space to attack. People seriously underestimate the importance of a tape to tape pass. That poor Coburn Zaitsev pairing is gonna something though. Hopefully Brannstrom eats some more minutes tonight.

Also, I think with how the D is set up now Smith and Capuanno should just role the D pairings. Don't start with Zaitsev and Gudbranson no matter what. Just role them.

Chabot's partners should not be blamed for Chabot's mistakes, he makes them & he should own them, his partners save his ass plenty of times too.

Indeed.

Many of Chabot's mistakes with the puck this year there's no one near him.

He's also icing the puck a lot because he is missing his target on passes

Agreed. Chabot certainly hasn't been playing his best this season.

I've though Zaitsev has been looking pretty good this year personally. Don't notice him much which is exactly what I want out of that guy.

When has that been? We're not talking about partners, we're talking about one partner. Zaitsev has been brutal for a long time. Reducing his role on the team is a good thing. He causes a lot of grief for his line mates. He commits turnovers when not under pressure and puts himself in horrible situations because of his low IQ and positioning.

Chabot has struggled at times but let's not act like he's been put in an ideal situation here.
