I think they are trying to separate themselves from the incident and hope people forget about

I don't see why it's a big deal, anyways. Not every player loves their coach or the style their team plays. And I'm sure plenty of players criticize the performance (including their own). Only thing that changes this from any other day is it's on camera. Everyone would be better to just move on and play games.

Sens as a franchise should not be handling any more cringe.

Just have the Senators spartan driving the Uber.

Only if Melnyk refuses to pay the Uber guy at the end.

This is actually a pretty good idea though a bit risky, and I wouldn't trust the Sens PR team to pull it off.

Lol but in reality they actually mean the things they say so it's not really a mock.

It would be hilarious.

Unfortunately, the actual video would wind up with Eugene Melnyk trying to spread love and positivity. And, as we all know, he'd be pissed off about having to pay for the Uber.

It could ruin the franchise.
Can you imagine if it left such a bad taste in the mouth of the players that both Duchene AND Stone ended up walking as UFA and Chabot asked to be traded?
Nope. They can't play like that.
It would be fun for us to watch, but they'd be burning themselves so bad that they'd lose all credibility in the eyes of the players until they fired their coaching staff.
