Thanks @Xspyrit! Great work.

I think everyone in the top 17 has a good chance to play, although obviously there will be some busts. Pretty impressive when all is said and done, especially considering all our young talent not on this list.

Kudos - interesting thread.

I just hope Brannstrom & Boucher (#3 & #4) live up to where they are ranked now.

This will be a good team ultimately if they do succeed and when we have players like Formenton, JBD, Gustavsson and Thomson pushing to be ranked even higher than where they stand now on this list.

Hope you'll get more answers than mine

Alex Formenton actually has 56 GP, he's graduating (unless they cancel the whole season but doubt that). He's looking like he'll be an excellent 3rd line/PK player at the minimum

Erik Brännström has graduated, 66 GP. His future NHL role is not entirely clear yet but I think he'll be a PP QB. Will he be on a 2nd or 3rd pairing is the question, I think it depends on which team and what type of opportunity

This would be my current top-25. Note that these rankings fluctuate a lot during a season, because a lot of them are close and current performance has a big influence on their rank too

1- Jake Sanderson
2- Shane Pinto
3- Ridly Greig
4- Jacob Bernard-Docker
5- Mads Søgaard
6- Roby Järventie
7- Lassi Thomson
8- Filip Gustavsson

Our prospect pool has gotten considerably weaker in just over a year (compared to 2020). Sure, there's been Stutzle, Norris, Batherson, Formenton and Brannstrom graduations but we also lost Logan Brown, Balcers, Daccord, Abramov and Chlapik (for Zach Sanford!). That's 10 guys from our top-18 in 2020 (5 graduations, 5 guys gone). Our 2021 draft class could have helped us to "stay afloat" a bit but it's looking like a "swing and a miss" at best.

You take out Brannstrom, Sanderson, Pinto, Formenton and possibly Lassi from that list as they should be regular NHLers going forward, and that prospect pool looks pretty damn mediocre. The 2021 draft class, as of now, is looking like a big dud, and goes against my mantra that you NEED to draft at least 2 NHL-quality players EVERY single draft.

Well, it seems I was 1 of the only 3 posters who voted him between #13 and #14 here, the lowest he was ranked :

Prospect Info: - Under 25 y/o Sens Players 2021 Ranking : Tyler Boucher

In total, 77 posters voted and 74 voted him higher than that.... Crazy that some had him higher than Norris, Batherson and Pinto

Inversely, I was voting Greig as soon as #8 in front of Brannstrom and even Formenton (who I had over Brannstrom too)

No comments? No early changes? No regrets!?!
Formenton should have been 2 or 3 the entire time.

Boy oh boy is 2021 looking like a massive disaster. Boucher, Romeo and Roger all got moved from their situations and not for good reasons. Ostapchuk having a stinker of a season. My goodness I hope to God they learn something from this.

@Xspyrit, I was going to put in my list but after taking a look at your revamped list (see below), it is pretty much the same as what I would have:

1- Jake Sanderson
2- Shane Pinto
3- Ridly Greig
4- Jacob Bernard-Docker
5- Mads Søgaard
6- Roby Järventie
7- Lassi Thomson
8- Filip Gustavsson
9- Egor Sokolov
10- Tyler Kleven
11- Tyler Boucher
12- Angus Crookshank
13- Viktor Lodin
14- Leevi Merilainen
15- Zack Ostapchuk
16- Philippe Daoust
17- Maxence Guénette
18- Carson Latimer
19- Parker Kelly
20- Benjamin Roger
21- Mark Kastelic
22- Oliver Johansson
23- Kevin Mandolese
24- Vitali Abramov
25- Cole Reinhardt

I do like to see the reemergence of Lassi, Jarventie and JBD on this list
I was really looking forward to the WJC's to get a chance to see Sanderson, Kleven, Greig, Jarventie & Merilainen. Not to be this year.

As for the 2021 draft class, like everyone here, I am holding out hope that we will see a bounce back from these players.
Certainly not looking great so far and if any of the CHL or other leagues shut down, this could be another lost season for these players.
My feeling is that everyone of these guys are long term projects and we really will not know what we have for sometime with this lot, especially with Covid factoring into their playing time I have confidence that Boucher will work his way back up this list into the Top 5 by this time next year and at least a couple more from Ostapchuk, Latimer, Roger, Johansson working their way into the top 10.

I’m predicting Boucher is top 5 by this time next year. No reason except optimism and trust in Mann

Some of em must have been smokin' something to rate Boucher above Norris, Batherson and Pinto. :)

(U23)
10. Tkachuk
11. Stutzle
17. Sanderson
23. Norris
59. Pinto
62. Formenton

Can quibble a bit maybe about the ranking position but I can't make a reasonable argument for anyone else being in this list of 6.

Great when you think that Batherson is 23 and Chabot is 24, arguably our 2 best players at the moment.

Dorion should have no problem at all turning this into a contender. He's already.... oh wait
