Its a 2-way. He's got a contract to play in the NHL and AHL. Im gonna assume he never plays an NHL game.

Possible cap shenanigans? If he has an NHL salary it's possible he can be called up, play a game and have his salary count towards the floor. Allows the team to maybe move out someone in a trade sooner rather than later.

I actually don't think that he can do that, but that is just a guess. The standard deal for the players in Bingo is a two way.
