Allows us to keep someone down in Belleville for the playoff run maybe. Last chance for this guy perhaps to stick in the league?

I'm surprised we haven't claimed even more people to be honest. Lots of holes at both the NHL and AHL level right now (injuries to Chabot, Norris, Lassi, Kleven, Highmore, Jarventie, MacEwen, Daoust, etc.), we should plug some people at the NHL level to help others stay and help in Belleville with their playoff push.

Calling it now - Katchouk puts up a bunch of meaningless points in the remaining meaningless games this year, signs a multi year one way deal, completely disappears off the score sheet next season.

I’m sure this is a Belleville move given there must be zero chance Chicago waves an actual NHL caliber player.

I'm underwhelmed. Andrew Peeke was moved for a career AHLer. I would have like to have gotten him.

Edit. I see The Bruins have also added a third round pick. I still like Peeke but it appears we couldn't have obtained as cheaply as I first thought.
