Speaking of lottery (nice seque, eh?) winning is the worst thing because all the Sens get is a crappier draft lottery position and worse draft picks. In recent years the Sens went on self-defeating winning streaks after the season was statistically lost, when there was little hope of making the POs yet alone surviving a 1st round..

Best to see focus on 2 things...
(1) Coaching staff continue to fix recurring issues, teach them to play smart 2-way hockey.
(2) Bring up and play as many B-Sens prospects as possible. There is absolutely no merit to playing certain veteran players at this point.
