If you scroll down a couple of threads you will see that we already have a Varly appreciation thread and are pretty certain he will be going elsewhere next season. We already have two goalies signed and believe they will be our combination starting next year.

*I* personally think he will be given another shot somewhere down the line with another team. It all depends on how his body ( mainly his groins ) hold up. He still has the ability to be a lower tier number one, imo.

He's going elsewhere, there's no way he's going to stay now that Sakic signed Francouz to a one-way deal. Sakic will continue to pay lip service to the possibility of him staying but he'll be gone July 1.

The two questions I have are thus:

1. Will Jussi Parkkila stay?
2. Will Varly find the deal he wants in the NHL or KHL? Plenty of teams here could use him as a 1b-goalie, but a lot of those teams have salary cap issues to deal with first.
