Russia. But its harder to predict the score. If Germany can hold of Russia in the first 20 it will be a hard contest all the way, but if Russia scores the first goal I think Russia will take it with out pain. 4-2 Russia.

Is Endras confirmed or pure speculation on your part Systemfel? As I mentioned yesterday, Krupp considers to rest Endras tonight.

„Wir haben uns noch nicht entschieden, wer im Tor stehen wird“, sagte Bundestrainer Uwe Krupp auf der heutigen Pressekonferenz in Köln. „Dennis hat jetzt zwei Spiele in drei Tagen gemacht. Es ist gut möglich, dass wir ihm einen Tag freigeben“, so Krupp.

Translation:
"We haven't decided yet who will get the start in goal", headcoach Uwe Krupp said during today's press conference. "Dennis played two games in three days. It is quite possible, we will give him a day off", says Krupp.

In case they really decide to play one of their back-ups, expect Kotschnew to get the nod in goal.

Krupp just said in a Sport1 interview that Zepp will be todays goalie.

WHAT????
Rob 'I-can-not-save-a-single-shot-without-a-rebound-even-if-it-is-in-my-glove' Zepp? I am disappointed that we do not ice our best roster in such a historic game and clearly indicate that we are aiming for bronze, but starting Zepp is plain-out unacceptable. A German victory would now reach miracle-on-ice-calibre.

ZEPP? I could get Kotschnew, but Zepp... yeah, he was solid against the Fins but he's simply not as good as Kotschnew and Endras.

Zepp? Really? How about we just waive a white flag and don't even show up for the game. I could understand Kotschnew, but Zepp makes no ****ing sense.:surrender

This is a once in a lifetime chance for German hockey and we start our third goalie.:shakehead:madfire::banghead::loony::cry:

Krupp decides to play Zepp to rest his unbeaten goalie? That's a BÃ…G-quality coaching decision.

was the second goal against Canada the reason why Varlamov is likely not to play today ? I wonder..

I don't get it. WHy not ride the hot goalie? Endras was brilliant. Instead he brings Zepp who has a rebound control like a flipper bumper.

He probably doesnt want to break his GAA and Sv% and afterwards go and say hey look we got best goalie in tournament

Its gonna take a heroic effort of epic proportions for ze germans to take this game.

With the team Russia have, I would put it in the same category as the Belaurus vs Sweden in 2002 and Swiss vs Canada in 2006.
