Why the **** does Chris Lee always get to officiate in the playoffs? He is by far the worst official in pro sports. And this isn't just a reaction to the Ottawa call, he is awful EVERY YEAR.

regardless of which team you cheer for I think its an embarrassment to have Chris Lee move on to the next round. He clearly blew the most important call in the first round and was by far the highest profile referee in the media. Referee getting media attention is never a good thing and he should be held accountable for his error by not moving on.

He's not even consistent with his own awful calls. Early whistle, no whistle, it doesn't matter. He is incompetent.

Does he always? I vaguely seem to recall mini-rejoicing in the past that he wouldn't be calling games in the playoffs? Anyway, could he at least be assigned out West, please? One serious bad call last series that any ref in his position would have made notwithstanding, he has a longstanding tradition of hurting the Habs badly. Worst ref in the league.

each game crew gets their game instructions from the nhl operations office. that means that if the nhl wants the game called tight or if they ask for special attention to high hits or obstruction they are told what kind of game they want.

they get between periods reviews and post game review based on their instructions and how they handled the other aspects of the game.

the supervisor will know when a borderline or over the borderline hit was let go because the referees were told to let them play or because the referee just missed it.

Chris Lee is bad but he is the Kozari look alike, the actual worst ref in the game.

Good news #3 & #4 worst refs out in St. Pierre and LEcuyer.

Bad news? The two worst in Kozari and OHalloran remain.

Charron was actually good in the games I saw.
