If Aho's value goes up Carolina should finally pull the trigger on him for great value trade, their depth is too weak to compete for a play-offs spot in the next two seasons unless they go ham. It's a tricky question if you are willing to tank for 2-3 more years to build for the future or cash in for instant play-offs roster.

Aho is the last player they should trade.. like what would they even get back that makes it worth it.

He hasn’t even played C full-time in the NHL yet, but he certainly has the tools to do it. Could be a legit 1C for years in the end and we all know how tough those are to get, especially when talking about younger players.

Definitely think the Canes should do this as well. Trade him!

Aren’t you the guy who was saying the canes had to trade Aho before on the trade board and every single person disagreed with you?

I admire your persistence but it still makes no sense to trade Aho.

What we really need is the best forward in a draft.

If only that opportunity would present itself in the immediate future.

An opportunity so imminent that it would already be on everyone’s calendar already.

Yeah but he was still responsible 10 of 16 goals by team finland. And for example McDavid has 4 points in 2 games.

Yeah but McDavid hasn’t played a gimme like South Korea (narrator: He has). All of Finland is preying on the weak competition, just look at the Granlund-Rantanen line dominating the same teams (narrator: they haven’t).

This make just 0 sense, zero.

These 2 games mean nothing at the NHL level but he really deserves a shot at #1C, outside of size he has everything you are looking for from your #1C.
