RF traded a lot of his roster and could use a player, while getting a future consideration for helping remove some salary from the Wild. Helps with the coming draft pick at worst.
They've traded away 4 forwards that have played alot of NHL games since he was originally waived. Lot more minutes available now.Right. I am not going to argue that. My point is that there was no real need to make that move for Rask. It was not driven by roster needs. Either doing the Wild a favor or Francis really likes Rask. I doubt its the latter though because we never claimed him when he was waived.
I think Rask is a very serviceable NHL player but his cap hit is too high.
