If he still has anything left in the tank and has even avg NHL speed, this is the kind of sandpaper type player that would be a nice addition to the Hawks.

Find it odd how after spending last week talking up going young and building a speed team people want a slowing down Hartnell

Personally, I think the Hawks do need to get younger and faster, as opposed to being older and slower. And I'm constantly pushing that opinion on here the past few weeks.
But if you can grab up Hartnell for your third line as a grit/sandpaper type player who can also put up 30-40 points for you... I'd be for it, so long as it's at a decent price. It's not like he can't keep up at the NHL level still. Less of a question mark than Sharp, Campbell, Oduya, Thornton, Williams, etc. In my opinion, at least.

That is a load of ******** honestly

Last 33 playoff games for Hartnell = 4 goals + 11 assists and a -14

He had one good playoff run in his career and that was 2010 Flyers cup run

Hartnell in 2010 playoffs = 8 goals + 9 assists for 17 pts and a +4 in 23 games

Rest of Hartnell playoff career = 11 goals + 19 assists for 30 pts and a -16 in 72 games

Hartnell as a playoff performer is a myth
