For anyone that cares, I talked to Rod last summer at the Sharks prospects games and he said he wanted to stay in Switzerland through 14-15 and assess his options. Didn't sound too open towards America at the time, it sounded like he wanted to stay in Switzerland.

He definitely wanted to stay in Switzerland for the 2014/15 season, he wasn't at all shy about why.

But he also said "I'm going to come pretty soon, maybe AHL, maybe NHL. I hope NHL" when he was asked about coming to NA during the WJC.

Who knows what 'pretty soon' means but he seems quite open to coming to NA, it's just a matter of when he thinks he'll be ready.

Well.. in my NHL franchise the Oilers drafted McDavid.. who was a 74...

Now he's a 97 and dominating the League as the Oilers have Benn-McDavid-Forsberg as their first line

McDavid 'was' a 74? Surely not.

Everything I've read indicates that he was a 327 when he was an embryo. The Midi-chlorians are strong with this one...
