Was gonna post this in the GDT but this seems like a better spot now.
Best thing about the Sharks game by far was seeing how pissed off Girard was after the extended shift, and letting the puck get chipped by him, which led to his penalty.
His response was perfect though. Makes a beautiful spin move at the blueline, and then doesn't even look to make the pass like he usually does. Just skates in on net and absolutely burries his wrist shot.
That’s how you finish a scoring chance, and that's how a winner reacts to adversity. A good sign for the Avs future to have players like G, Nate, Landy, Makar, and even Mikko with that highly competitive nature.
