Thing about this deal is, we've seen him go on big tears, especially in important games before.

Not to say I don't think he can continue to be that player in Flordia, but also would very much be his career norm to revert to the usual.

That said, with this kinda deal it's clear he is gonna get every opportunity to continue playing in the top six. So I wouldn't bet against him getting 50~ points and being an absolute PITA to play against. Which is great for the Panthers.

So just to be clear, if Bennett were to not replicate the same level of success this coming season does that mean Florida is also 'inept'? Or would it suggest that the topic of Sam Bennett perhaps a little more complex than 'franchise bad'.
