oh thanks. I thought i heard on the radio that they agreed to 18%

the players vote on the escalator is from 0 to 5%, as the amount they want used

18%/20% is the estimated escrow % they are having taken off there pay right now

and something tells me it could be a project 25+% escrow, if they once again use the full 5% bump up for 2016/17.

The Leafs are just fine in terms of cap moving forward.

They only have 1.2 million in the books long term after moving Dion, Kessel, Clarkson.

Lupul and Bozak are off the books in the next couple years too - which is almost 10 million.

actually menz

there is a bottle neck

next year if they land stammer

but they do have ways and wiggle room to make it work

really really hard to nail down much till we pass this TD

True - things will be tight if they sign Stamkos for a massive deal in the 10+ million range but even then I think the Leafs aren't in any major dangers (just yet at least)

Leafs are in a really good spot with their cap now. They can even take advantage of a couple teams that will be desperate to dump contracts. Signing Stamkos would hurt our wiggle room quite a bit but buying out Greening and Cowen would give us even more cap space, so I'm not worried.

With that said, I doubt it goes down that much. I think it'll be around the same cap hit as this year.
