Ruff's Sabres have had our number longer then ive been seriously following hockey (he was hired in 97, I started being a "diehard" in 98).

Heres to hoping the new coach cant figure us out.

Burke is being offered a non-GM role in Buffalo. As a Adviser, which is precursor to bringing in Ron Wilson as the teams new Head Coach.

The biggest plus to the Sabres firing Ruff is that they can't hire Eakins now. He is not allowed to seek NHL employment until seasons end.

I'd HATE for Eakins to be the coach of the Sabres. I want him coaching in the west somewhere.

I am always worried to meet a team after the coach gets fired. They are always great right after for at least 2 or 3 games.

Here is hoping the players liked Ruff and are traumatized.
