I'm surprised a number of these guys couldn't beat Kopitar on his own though.

They're not even close.
Germany will surpass Slovenia soon though. Draisaitl, Seider, and Stutzle are about to boom the numbers.
But the other countries? They're not even close. Norway has one guy. Latvia has a couple goalies.

Well, adding depth in our scouting department is a plus for any area. I liked that we added some different avenues in this past draft.

Yes. But they’ve typically avoided drafting them. I mean, obviously I don’t expect the same amount of Russians drafted yearly, but I also hope they don’t ignore it entirely. And even if they do, they get free agents.
