Don’t get me wrong, refs normally make bad calls and miss the real ones, but there was no penalty worthy slash on that play. Nowhere close.

One advantage of this team is that everyone is replaceable. Last season, the offense all revolves around his Eichelness and when he goes down, it's hard to slot someone else into that role.

With the emphasis on team play, more options to (pardon the pun)... Plug and play.

Short glove cuff issue.....? No slash guards?

Honestly, a lot of players these days wear gloves with cuffs that easily expose one's wrists. It provides them with better puck control..

And exposes their bare wrists to any of carbon titanium based slashes.
