He went in awkward into the boards. No foul play. injured his leg and had to be helped off the ice.

didn’t look crazy, but looked bad enough to know he wasn’t coming back.

I had higher hopes for what he would bring to the ice.

Unfortunate injury, but even after recovery he probably should not make it back into the lineup.

Zach Parise is training to come back
If Parise returns. as some projections apparently have him returning -- around the deadline -- he's about 3 months away from turning 40.

On the other hand, Nick Seeler is 30 and a defenceman, and large and gritty and makes league minimum I think.

Jake Middleton makes just under 3M, and the Wild don't look like they're going anywhere.

Point is, Parise is a forward, almost 40, and not what we need.
