Ryan Getzlaf is flying under the radar

Getzlaf just had an absolute beast of a season, had 73 points in 74 games and finished with 27 points in his last 16 games, and nobody seems to talk about him. He did all this despite his running mate Corey Perry having the worst season of his career. He's also been playing a really good defensive game. You'd think the best player on possibly the best team in the league would get more love. Ya'll on the east coast needs to stay up and watch the late games.

9th in PPG and third in assists when Perry was on his line killing chances. Hopefully he stays healthy for the playoffs he always seems to get hurt

One of the most underrated top centers in the NHL. How Bergeron, Kopitar, Toews etc are always rated above him is beyond me...

"Y'All" is singular.

Perry and Getzlaf don't play together.

They did for the first 2/3 of the year. How Getzlaf managed to put up any kind of points during that time is beyond me, Perry couldn't give or receive passes for the majority of the season.

Eaves did what Perry used to do. That should answer any questions as to how he put up those good numbers after the trade deadline.

The weak start the last two years along with a bunch of new players coming in seemed to really temper opinions on him. Still a beast and a top 10 center in the league.

Was literally talking about this with someone today, I looked at the league's top scorers and had to double take when I saw his name. Haven't heard a thing about him all season long..

He had a really good World Cup tournament too, if he combine that with good series, a great year for sure.

Had a great season for the Ducks only complaint is he didn't score 20 goals.

What does it matter, he's a pass first centre and always has been. If he started shooting as much as Ovechkin does you might see him score 30 goals but his assist totals would come down a ton and his linemates would score way less than the increase in goals from Getzy. Top 10 in PPG and 58 assists for a 31 year old who many thought had started declining is an incredibly successful season.

Def under the radar, this year... but I think you could say that about the ducks team as a whole.

-Gibson put up top 5 goaltending #'s
-Bernier may be the best back up goalie in the league
-Kesler is a potential selke winner
-silfverberg played like a selke winger, while still put up 20+ goals and 50 + points along side kesler
-Rakell had a 30 goal season
-Eaves has 10 goals in 18 games since joining the ducks

-Montour is + 11 in 24 games in his first taste of NHL action
-This has been fowlers best season since his rookie season imo, hes been steller on both ends
-Manson/Lindholm continue to show why they are 1 of the top shut down pairings in the world.

But you hardly hear anything about them, hopefully they continue onward into the post season playing like they have been.
