But when you have guys like Gavin Bayreuther getting picked over Domi and the most reliable CBS reporter saying no side deal for that pick I have much less faith that you are going to see some crazy good Kraken team. Because that's your implication.

No but until they actually make that upgrade, he's the guy.

It's one thing to say "oh it's fine because he'll be back up because they signed Ullmark" and another to say "it's fine because of some hypothetical move that hasn't happened yet." One is based on evidence the other on faith.

Smith at 2mill/2AVV is the stopgap before bringing in Skinner or Konovalov.
I don't want to put all the eggs in Smith's basket and we really need to start looking for our future in the net.
They need to play one of these young goaltenders this next season, and start that mentorship with Smith.

We haven't seen Stalock play yet either.

The only available player worth even 8 is maybe Hamilton, but I don't think Hamilton is interested in playing in any Canadian market.
