Really like that youngster line, might just be our best one when it´s all said and done.

Well, aftonbladets hockeywriters are pure jokes, that's for sure.... I mean, Wennerholm and Ros? You could not find worse hockeywriters than that

Wennerholm seems to get alot of respect from the everyday fan though. Even if one would win big if betting against him all the time. His hockey knowledge is slim.

Ros IMO is at least an honest fan of the game; never tries to let on that he knows much more than the average fan. He can also admit when he's been wrong. If Wennerholm makes huge mistakes, he just doesn't mention it.

Actually looks much better skill wise than they have done in a while. The team was **** but lucky us we get backup from the oldschool NHL'ers *pew*

Last year we didn't have any top NHL players..Just some younger ones. Now we got oldies like Zetterberg, Franzen, Alfredsson and Kronwall.

But i don't know if the winning heart is there :shakehead It all depends on that. If it is there the chance of getting the gold is big.

We'll see, the team is so much more different when WC starts....:)

I think the old guard will play for Alfie, and the young players always play their best.. it's players like Pajen I'm worried about. And ofc the goalies.. not because they dont want to.. just because they really arent too good.

Persson instead of Larsson?

Are you really surprised? Larsson has been terrible and Persson is MÃ¥rts favorite, it was quite obvious.

Once Alfredsson joins the team I hope that we've seen the last of Persson but I doubt it. :shakehead

I'm really glad to see Landeskog with Järnkrok and Silfverberg, that line is going to be one of the most interesting ones in the whole tournament if they get to play together.

Looking forward to seeing how Silfverberg performs against NHL talent. He was very impressive at points during his two playoffs games with Ottawa.

What do you guys think, can Sweden get its' game back on tracks with complitely new roster and homecrowd pressure? Do they have time to adapt the style of game? I believe Sweden has lost all the last 6-7 games? Even against really weak countries. Are you afraid to flop big time?

winning or losing those games, doesnt matter much, its more how the players that actually play look like. And well some of them havent impressed either, lol, but there is plenty of time to get in shape. I expect Sweden to at least qualify for the QF and it's there the tourney starts for real.

The D and the goalies need to step up a bit.

Usually when you play well, you win games.

And if lose all the games but think ''at least we passed well'', it will not give you a medal. Of course I hope team Sweden will NOT flop as it usually doesn't. Except in the finals last year

Some of these hockey writers seem to know very little about our NHL players. I have read numerous times about the "doldis" Eriksson who "gets the opportunity" to play with stars like Zetterberg and Franzen. Loui is arguably the best forward along with Z on this team, at least better than Franzen who is an automatic star because he plays for the wings.

Yeah.. The younger Eriksson 70pts+ x3, 0.72 career ppg vs Franzen without a 60pt season and 0.58 career ppg. Amusing.

I think that Alfredsson will be our second best forward though, but I don't know if he can carry the production on a line with Kruger and Stalberg.

If WSH loses against NYR:

Franzen - Zetterberg - Eriksson
Alfredsson - Backstrom - Stalberg
Silfverberg - Jarnkrok - Landeskog
Persson - Kruger - Pettersson
Lundqvist

I know Kruger could be on the 3rd line but I wouldn't want to break up that line since they seem to have chemistry. Also Kruger has played alot on CHI's 4th line so he knows what it takes and what the job is.

Oh, and if STL loses against LAK as well:

Franzen - Berglund - Zetterberg
Alfredsson - Backstrom - Eriksson
Silfverberg - Jarnkrok - Landeskog
Persson - Kruger - Stalberg
Lundqvist

...

Ok, I'll stop with the what-if's now...

I'm really worried about our goaltending...

I am not so worried. They'll be fine once they get their game-faces on. Apart from their performances lately I'd probably not chose any other SWE goalie ahead of them, except Lundqvist of course.
