No surprises here obviously. Good to get Olson back to the Cougars though - he will be heavily relied upon this season, and should hopefully see an increase in icetime and points.

Kinda surprised it wasn't more tbh. But no surprises here. Good to get CHL kids back to the clubs they're obviously going to be spending the year with and let them settle in there.

Neill being among the first cuts sort of raises an eyebrow in that it means he'll definitely be going back to Jrs for his 20 year old season. But not surprising in that he's a bigtime project and doesn't seem ready for the AHL yet, despite being eligible. Have to think that having both Subban and Stecher as RHD in Utica this year may have played into that as a numbers game on top of that.

Well Subban has made it into the pre-season. Already better than last year!

Wait....Subban was cut? Not sent down?

They are using the word interchangeably, he was sent down. But Comets camp doesn't begin for a bit so I'm not sure where he is until then. Would have liked to see him and Cassels get a game (key word here, see, not listen on the radio to the mystery game).

Well no, because of this little thing called waivers.

No i mean cut him, get rid of him. Because obviously 1 game is all we need to know if someone is good or not. They couldn't possibly play any better in a second game.
